Gold Coast Media Optimisation Project - The Flower Preserver
The Flower Preserver Optimised
The Flower Preserver provides a flower preserving service for wedding bouquets, floral tributes, in fact, anything with flowers! This is a small but growing industry in the Uk so the service is fairly specialised but it is very big in the USA and is catching on fast here.
The owners of the flower preserver The Flower Preserver approached Gold Coast Media to re-design and optimise their current web site. the task was quite thankless, with a Google Pagerank of zero and no inbound links, it was not an easy start. This was exacerbated by the existing site, appalling construction of a page made completely out of images allowing no optimisation.
The first step was to deconstruct the web site and then to re-create in a format that the search engine spiders could feed on, pure HTML with lots of optimisation in place and some decent tags. The old and new site do not look massively different but behind the scenes, the coding construction is totally different. Gone is a page made up completely of images with no image tagging or meta tags, in comes a new site, completely optimised for the search engines. As the site was so lowly ranking, it will take some time to reach the first pages of the search engines so we have also initiated a directory submission to boost the rankings with fully optimised link texts!
The site quickly achieved significant ranking improvements including being number 1 on google.co.uk for the search terms 'flower preserver', 'flower preservers' and 'wedding flower preservers'.
A sample of the optimised terms for The Flower Preserver is given below: :
Wedding Bouquet Preservation
Flower Preserver

Once the new site has been indexed and cached by the search engines, the optimisation process should be quite simple. The optimisation terms are not particularly competitive so sourcing decent inbound links coupled with optimising the site using Gold Coast Media's optimisation software should yield significant results for the current owners. A search engine placement report for the site pre-optimisation revealed that they had none of their preferred keywords in the first fifty results from Google, Yahoo, MSN and AOL. The benefit therefore of the optimisation service should see a significant growth of their company revenues.
